HYpharm was part in a Geneva Health Forum panel discussion

HYpharm was part in a Geneva Health Forum panel discussion and an inspiring workshop on the critical role of infection prevention in tackling AMR in November 2025.
Last week, Ingrid Wanninger had the privilege of taking part in a Geneva Health Forum panel discussion and an inspiring workshop on the critical role of infection prevention in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR). As an SME and as Board member of BEAM Alliance deeply committed to advancing practical, scalable solutions for infection prevention, this conversation resonated strongly with our mission.
Key takeaways:
1. Prevention first. AMR policies must embed infection prevention as a core pillar within a comprehensive, people-centred approach — not as an afterthought.
2. Patient and survivor voices matter. Their experiences are irreplaceable in driving awareness and influencing political will.
3. We should rethink how we communicate AMR. Technical language doesn’t move society — human-centred narratives do.
4. Innovation alone is not enough. New antibiotics, vaccines and diagnostics require combined action on access, stewardship and behaviour change to achieve true impact.
Ingrid Wanninger extends a big thank you to the inspiring co-panelists, the moderator, and the organizers for the meaningful exchange: Sarah Paulin-Deschenaux, Melissa Mead MBE, Tommaso Cai, Mariam Zaidi, Eric Comte, Christian Terreaux. The fight against #AMR is not only about treating infections — it’s about preventing them before they occur. Ingrid Wanninger is proud that SMEs are increasingly recognized as key players in this effort and looks forward to the next steps.
